Europlasma is a key innovator in the EU SuperClean project

Europlasma has been recognized by the EU as a key innovator in the SuperClean project. This SuperClean project promises significant advancements in clean technologies and sustainable industrial processes, potentially making a substantial impact on both the environment and the industry.

Towards a SuperClean future

SuperClean is an ambitious project funded by the European Union, focused on developing cleaner and more efficient industrial processes. It aims to move towards zero liquid discharge by minimizing water consumption through chemical recovery. This will be achieved via the generation of new, enhanced superhydrophobic membranes with higher flux, better wetting resistance, chemical resistance, antifouling, antiscaling, and more, enabling wide use of Membrane Distillation (MD).

The technologies are tested in challenging water treatment scenarios.

The objectives of SuperClean include constructing demonstrator pre-commercial roll-to-roll equipment for producing superhydrophobic membranes. This involves a plasma reactor for nanotexturing and functionalizing membranes, followed by plasma deposition in the same reactor or interfaced with a wet deposition roll-to-roll bath. Find our roll-to-roll solutions here.
